Mode of action: Fital is a phosphorous acid derivative systemic fungicide. Systemic are known for ability to penetrate inside a plant and act therein. They have a translaminar movement pattern, thus moving from the upper surface to the underside (abaxial surface) of a leaf, whereafter – to the oreal belt of a plant (acropetal movement). Similar penetration properties are inherent to any extent to the most systemic fungicides, however Fital  (Aluminum phosphite) is the only one that provides basipetal transportation, i.e. penetrates to the bottom part of a plant (roots, tubers), thus protecting it against pathogenic organisms. The bright examples of the above may be inter alia high viability of potato, advanced development of cereal and other crop root systems, as well as further positive effects, which Fital  may have upon either crop. Due to disrupting action, whereby integrity and penetrability of the pathogenic organism cell membranes are affected, even a minor quantity of aluminum phosphite is enough to block completely spore germination at a leaf surface, as well as inhibit germination of hyphae and development of mycelia (curative and prophylactic effect). Moreover, the phosphorous acid derivatives provide for significant activation of the own immune system of a plant, thus rapidly enhancing fungicidal effect (through activating of oxidation & reduction enzymes, in particular peroxydase, which is engaged in protective reactions). The product penetrates into a plant in just 30 minutes after it is sprayed, whereafter it is rapidly distributed throughout a plant, thus providing for immediate effect.

The product contains 2% of copper sulphate available, for its part, in oxidation enzymes (polyphenol oxydase, ascorbinoxydase, lactase and dehydrogenase), which are of significant importance for oxidation processes in plants. The said element provides for enhancing of plant respiration. Moreover, such additive improves prophylactic effect of Fital (copper inhibits spore germination and suppresses proteins, which are of vital importance for pathogenic organisms). It is also emerged in real terms that simultaneous presence of copper and aluminum ions in a plant provides for generation of synergy (potentiation), thus enhancing curative effect of the product. The aforesaid factors are indicative of the comprehensive effect of Fital, thus laying stress upon it uniqueness and key distinction from other class products. With that said, unlike with, for instance, Aliette and equivalents thereof, which are evident organophsphoric compounds, Fital has inorganic origin. It is a compound, which active ingredient is known for a few times faster hydrolysis process compared to organophsphoric pesticides.

The phosphorous acid, which is a component of Fital, is a product of the direct hydrolysis of its acid in a plant. Hydrolysis of aluminum phosphite in the soil and/or water is rather fast process, which products are aluminum hydroxide and phosphorous acid. Aluminum compounds do naturally exist in the soil in form of alumina silicates and other compounds, i.e. they are peculiar components of the environment itself. There is soil microgerm induced reaction, whereby the phosphorous acid is oxidized into phosphoric acid, which is then bound by soil colloids or consumed by plants as a feed, i.e. becomes converted in a substance peculiar to soil as natural substrate.

It is also important that aluminum phosphite is a phosphor based complex compound. Therefore, phosphor exists in the product in easily accessible water soluble form, i.e. it is more readily available to the plants compared to mineral fertilizers. Due to highly optimized phosphorous status, Fital gives an edge to absorption by a plant of hard-to-get nitrogen, thus increasing efficiency of the nitrogen fertilizers. 

Therefore, application of Fital to a great extent reduces the environmental load on agrobiocenosis, thus improving conditions for plant growth, as well as providing for required phosphor feeding of plants. 

Duration of protective effect: 14-21 days. 

Directions for use: Fital  effectively works against Powdery mildew, Uncinula necator and other diseases of vineyards; most common diseases of fruit and vegetable crops and most common destructive diseases of cereals, soy, rape (colza), sugar beets and other cultivated crops.

Consumption rate of working solution:  

200 - 2,000 l/ha depending on a crop.

General recommendations: Spraying at temperature +25°C (max) with help of typical sprayers or sprinklers in the early morning or late night hours is recommended. Shall not be applied in less than 1 hour before precipitation events. In order to prepare spray material in form of tank mixture, fill the sprayer tank 2/3 full with water and add required quantity of the product continuously stirring the mixture. Then fill up the tank with remaining water. 

Standard spray material discharge rates shall be as follows: 200 - 400 l/ha in case of field crops; 400 - 600 l/ha in case of vegetable crops and potato; 800 - 1,500 l/ha in case of vineyards and fruit crops; 800 - 2,000 l/ha in case of hops. Time for the first treatment: for potato – since closing of rows; for tomatoes – in 5-7 days upon planting of seedlings into bed; for other crops – prophylactic treatment since vegetation development. The further treatments: immediately after manifestation of the first signs of a disease.
